Your tour guide will take a scenic route to the less known East side of Roatan Island, where you will stop at picture-perfect spots, visit the Garifuna fishing village of Punta Gorda, and discover the heritage, rich culture of our island including music, dancing, and riveting stories about Indians, slaves, invaders, pirates, buried gold, and our charming blend of cultures.
Board a typical Dory water taxi in Oakridge and head out to explore Roatan's mangroves, navigating along narrow channels, learning their pirate-related history and the value that this ecosystem adds to our island. Look out for birds, fish, and other animals living within the mangroves!
Lunch is available for purchase at your own expense at the world-famous restaurant and bar Hole in the Wall or Trico's, it’s a wonderful experience to enjoy local food at their dock.
Driver and guides are available to you for the entire day, if there are unplanned activities you would like to do let your guide know.

ATV Roatan, Roatan Adventure Park
Upon arrival to the tour operator facilities, you will be provided with the necessary safety gear, such as a helmet, goggles, and bandanas. Your bilingual tour guide will provide a safety briefing and will explain the use of units before starting the tour.
French Harbour Village (drive through)
French Harbour is Roatan's third-largest community and home to the island's active fishing industry. Many of Roatan's commercial vessels are docking in and around the waters of French Harbour. In this community, you find optional popular attractions like the Iguana Park or the Monkey and Sloth Hangout.
Club Isery, Punta Gorda
Take photos and spend a good relaxing time at a unique attraction called "Isery" pirate boat.
Punta Gorda Village
Your guide will take you to the first Garifuna settlement on Roatan, where you will hear from the story of the Garinagu (Garifuna people) and have an opportunity to experience their culture through music and dance. The Punta Gorda community also has a beach with many bars where you can enjoy a refreshment or try the local food.
Oakridge
Once a thriving fishing industry port, Oakridge is now a sleepy village, filled with colorful homes built on stilts on the water. This is the starting point for the Oakridge Harbour and Mangrove Cruise. We will park the Buggys and embark on a typical dory water taxi that will show us around the "Venice of the Caribbean" and will navigate along narrow mangrove channels.
Mangrove Channels
Explore Roatan's mangroves, navigating along narrow channels, learning their pirate-related history and the value that this ecosystem adds to our island. Look out for birds, fish, and other animals living within the mangroves!
Jonesville Point
At this point, we will be presented with the option of stopping for lunch or continue the navigation returning to Oakridge. Lunch is available for purchase at your own expense at the world-famous restaurant and bar Hole in the Wall or Trico's, it is a wonderful experience to enjoy local food at their dock.
ATV Roatan, Roatan Adventure Park
This is where the Buggy tour ends. Toilets and showers are available to our guests. Transportation to your hotel or cruise port is provided from this point.
