Tour Description
This tour is especially suited for people who just want to relax and enjoy a drink while sightseeing, and for families with babies and small children who want to tour together.
Your tour guide will take a scenic route to the lesser-known East side of Roatan Island, where you will stop at picture-perfect spots, visit the Garifuna fishing village of Punta Gorda, and discover the heritage and rich culture of our island — including music, dancing, and riveting stories about Indigenous people, slavery, invaders, pirates, buried gold, and our unique blend of cultures.
Board a typical dory water taxi in Oakridge and head out to explore Roatan's mangroves, navigating along narrow channels and learning their pirate-related history and the value this ecosystem adds to our island. Look out for birds, fish, and other wildlife living in the mangroves!
Lunch is available for purchase at your own expense at the world-famous restaurant and bar Hole in the Wall or Trico's — it's a wonderful experience to enjoy local food right at the dock.
Drivers and guides are available to you for the entire day. If there are unplanned activities you’d like to include, just let your guide know.
