Board a typical dory water taxi in Oakridge and head out to explore Roatan's mangroves, navigating along narrow channels and learning their pirate-related history and the value this ecosystem adds to our island. Look out for birds, fish, and other wildlife living in the mangroves!

Itinerary

ATV Roatan, Roatan Adventure Park – Upon arrival to the tour operator facilities, you will be provided with the necessary safety gear, such as a helmet, goggles, and bandanas. Your bilingual tour guide will provide a safety briefing and will explain the use of units before starting the tour.

French Harbour Village (drive through) – French Harbour is Roatan's third-largest community and home to the island's active fishing industry. Many of Roatan's commercial vessels are docking in and around the waters of French Harbour. In this community, you find optional popular attractions like the Iguana Park or the Monkey and Sloth Hangout.

Club Isery, Punta Gorda – Take photos and spend a good relaxing time at a unique attraction called "Isery" pirate boat.

Punta Gorda Village – Your guide will take you to the first Garifuna settlement on Roatan, where you will hear from the story of the Garinagu (Garifuna people) and have an opportunity to experience their culture through music and dance. The Punta Gorda community also has a beach with many bars where you can enjoy a refreshment or try the local food.

Oakridge – Once a thriving fishing industry port, Oakridge is now a sleepy village, filled with colorful homes built on stilts on the water. This is the starting point for the Oakridge Harbour and Mangrove Cruise. We will park the Buggys and embark on a typical dory water taxi that will show us around the "Venice of the Caribbean" and will navigate along narrow mangrove channels.

Mangrove Channels – Explore Roatan's mangroves, navigating along narrow channels, learning their pirate-related history and the value that this ecosystem adds to our island. Look out for birds, fish, and other animals living within the mangroves!

Jonesville Point – At this point, we will be presented with the option of stopping for lunch or continue the navigation returning to Oakridge. Lunch is available for purchase at your own expense at the world-famous restaurant and bar Hole in the Wall or Trico's, it is a wonderful experience to enjoy local food at their dock.

ATV Roatan, Roatan Adventure Park – This is where the Buggy tour ends. Toilets and showers are available to our guests. Transportation to your hotel or cruise port is provided from this point.

So much fun!! We did the dune buggy and sloth/monkey park and cannot rate it highly enough. Team 3 made our dune buddy experience so much fun and memorable. It was my husband’s birthday and they bought him a cake! This company went above and beyond and I appreciate them all so much.
